Idea Update

We were toying with the idea of "Trial by environment", and like the idea of an environment changing constantly (almost giving it a personality) and placing a character within that environment, forcing him/her to react. This was an idea that had not been fully realised, but we really liked the possibilities it held despite the obvious difficulties it possessed.

We spoke about the idea of a character in his bedroom, with object shrinking around him in a way that makes them almost pop from one size to the other, and also with the walls moving in every time the character wasn't paying attention. We thought this would be a cool idea and one that could match the brief well, but were conscious that simply modelling a bedroom would not be enough. After speaking to our tutor Jared it was decided that this idea would be let go, as it was such a predictable environment to model and would offer a lot of technical difficulties with the objects shrinking etc.

So it's back to the drawing board! But there have been some ideas floating around the group that we are going to further discuss when we meet tomorrow.

On the plus side we've all identified the areas that we would like to work on, and the job roles are as follows:
Myself                    - Animation
Joe Henson             - Animation
James Tomkins       - Producer/Modelling/Editing/Rendering
Dave Fish               - Modelling
Maik Pham Quang - Modelling
Malaki Richking     - Concept/Audio

We will all be learning UV mapping and texturing as the term continues and will all contributing our fair share to this area.
